Installing the battery-powered carbon monoxide detectors is easy and convenient. You can choose to mount the CO detector on the ceiling or wall using the provided screws. The Test/Reset button is used to test the CO alarm and verify that the unit is functioning properly. To test the alarm, press the test button, and the LCD will display "000," the red LED will blink, and a "chirp" sound will be heard for a few seconds. The green LED will then blink once every 30 seconds to indicate that the unit is operating normally.

The 3-digit LCD display provides additional information. "Err" on the LCD indicates that the unit is malfunctioning, and "Lb" indicates that the battery is low (one "chirp" every 30 seconds), and needs to be replaced. The blue backlight will be lit when pressing the test button or when the alarm is activated.
